I have in my joomla website some content that i don't want to lose it and i also want to set my website like your demo shows. Is it posible?
Yes, of course. We recommend that you install an test joomla instalation with our sql dump file imported and check the positions of modules and parameters that we use on it. Just "copy" them to your official website. Our latest templates are delivered with the Quick Start (Joomla + template + demo content - all in one). |

1. All of Gavick templates are using as default JavaScript framework MooTools in version 1.11 . Probably after installation you have added to your site modules which are using other JavaScript frameworks...
REMEMBER: More than one framework (jQuery, Prototype, MooTools) per one site = problems
What can you do in situation where our favourite module/component are using for example jQuery ? We know one way to fix it - find different module with similar functions but based on MooTools ;)
2. Ok, you have all modules based on MooTools but scripts still don't works correctly. In this situation you should remove all other script tags (in exception script tag in head section) which contains phrase "mootools.js" (or sth like it). In one webpage should be added only ONE mootools file. All our the newest modules contains option which allows you to do it automatically... |

What is exactly a QuickStart Installation provided on your template and how do i install it?
The QuickStart package included all the files needed to install joomla J!1.5 latest stable version, our template, components, modules and plugins, also the sql dump content included to set the template exactly like we show on the demo showcase.
QuickStart = Joomla J1.5 + gk template + components, modules and plugins + sql demo content.
How to install?
Just create a new database, unpack and upload all the files available inside of the quickstart folder to your joomla website. Them make a normal joomla installation and login into your administrator panel using "admin" as username and "demo" as password. |
