Dev update

In the last few days we have released few important updates of our extensions and templates dedicated to Joomla! 1.6.

Now, News Show Pro GK4 (v.1.4) and Highlighter GK4 (v.1.1) modules support Joomla! languages. Additionally, JavaScript engine of the News Show Pro GK4 module was speeded up around 25% due to script profiling and optimizations. We also have published FB GK4 (v.1.2) module with fixed for founded bugs.

The most important changes were implemented in our templates based on the Gavern Framework. We have modified the Social API - now facepile was removed (it is still available in FB GK4 module) and the "Send" button was added as an option.

We also have released a new plugin - plg_gk_open_graph - it enables support for Open Graph Protocol. It is a really useful extension for articles editor, because we get additional tab containing special fields to add Open Graph article description with it. These fields define the special metatags used by Facebook. With these metatags, you can specify the title, description and even a thumbnail image visible when user clicks "Like it" button (without these tags content is generated basing on the page content and i.e. usually a thumbnail image is totally random).

Plg_gk_open_graph is available in templates rest_files packages.
