Gavern Framework Released

Gavern Framework Released

We are really happy to announce that our template for Joomla! 1.6 has already been published. It is based on our new Gavern framework. For more information about this framework can be found here...

I would like to call your attention to a few details here. Our framework publication was slightly delayed because of some features implementation.

Firstly, we rebuilt layout of mobile version totally and it looks much better, script is lightweight and it works quite good.  After your comments and suggestions, we decided to add to registration form captcha script. CAPTCHA code is a script used to stop automated computer spam robots from filling out forms, harvesting email addresses, and then sending out countless spam emails.

We also improved menu system script; now it is lightweight, fast and works without any failures (I guess :)).

Moreover, we made some small corrections in our framework code. I think that template support easier and more pleasant. Please, write your suggestions and opinions.

Penguinmail template files for Joomla! 1.6 are in download section.
Template demo based on Gavern framework can be seen here...

We also prepared a small gadget, our framework wallpaper.
It is available in a few screen resolutions: download it.

What are the main differences between your new framework, and joomla art t3?

With all this template framework, things are getting a bit messy if you don't know what you "need"

When, when and when? :) Please tell us when we will be able to download this framework?

Great framework. When the public release?

  • Enes

When do you plan to release this framework? When do we able to use this framework?
    Thanks...

I hope the next template will showcase the features of this new framework. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get the penguinMail template. It seems to show the least features of any of the templates. Not much for creativity and looks unfinished. Frameworks are only great if you have a matching template design to showcase it's features. I can only hope something better is coming.

Congratulations to you guys. One question regarding the facebook login extension you have added to the new frame work. Does it permit the site admin to set a redirection upon login and upon first time login like JFBConnect? If not, is it planned to add this functionality in a near future release? You guys are amazing!

Do you have any news regarding the next template? Will this new framework delay the next release? Looking forward to see how the upcoming template will utilize Gavern.

    Hi,

the template of January already has the new framework? I still use a template with the previous framework, can I upgrade without losing data?

Tony - offline page works fine, but unfortunately in Joomla! 1.6 tmpl=offline works only when Joomla! is in the offline mode :/

  • Tony Danby

    Hi

Just fired up your PenguinMail demo for the cavern framework on the link above and whilst going through all of the features I noticed that your Offline page does not appear to be working.

Apart from that fantastic template and framework.
