Pwn2Own is the largest hacking contest that takes place every year, targeting browsers on the market. Each year the latest versions of browsers are attacked, with the intention of being shown their vulnerabilities.
After spending years on end to see the competition being crushed so overwhelming in Pwn2Own, this year was Chrome to be the first to fall. And did not just fall once, but twice!

Shortly after it was revealed that Google uses a means to circumvent privacy protections in the Safari Web browser, Microsoft revealed that the Mountain View, California company has a similar practice in place with Internet Explorer (IE). Does this mean an end to privacy to consumers and internet users, and the start of total surveillance over all we do?

In his Building Windows 8 blog, Microsoft's Steven Sinofsky has introduced the ' Internet Explorer Performance Lab' – a means of improving Internet Explorer (IE) 9 such that it can compete in speed with any browser in the world, thus ensuring that IE10 will be the dominant Web browser.
