Can't Register

Hi There,

A few weeks ago people could register, now I get a 404 error when people fill in the register form and press register.

Users could register before, now they can't. These are the errors that come up:

Looks like the error comes from Joomla! core files... Did you update Joomla! or any other extension since it has been working properly ?

No, Joomla wasn't updated but I did try to update joomla to the latest version afterwards with no joy.

It might be a K2 issue, it doesn't look like it' a Gavick issue as I have tried switching templates and the problem is still there.

I am investigating and will report back when I find a fix

Ok it seems like it IS a Gavick template issue.

I have tried switching to a bees template and it now works, so somehow GK TWN11 and the K2 sign-up module are conflicting,

Any help ugently welcome as we haven't had any registrations on our busy news site for 2 weeks because of this issue

I tried rolling the template back to 2.7 but it still doesn't work with the k2 enhanced content enabled. As before the registration works with Beez or Atomic templates.

The problem is that if I keep GK_TWN11 enabled registration doesn't even work with the K2 enhanced content switched off because users aren't added to any K2 profile.

Can we get someone working on this please.

I have the site on my local machine and have turned almost everything off to see if there are conflicts, still no joy.

I just downloaded your GK_TWN11 quickstart, upgraded K2 to the latest version AND EXACTLY the same things happens.

Your template doesn't work with K2. It's not a K2 problem because K2 works with other templates, it's an issue with your template not working with the latest version of K2.

Try it yourself. Simply upgrade the K2 in your quickstart TWN11 and you will get a 404 on registration, you don't need access to my site or my server, just try it.

And can you fix it soon because we have a live site that nobody can register on.

I've done enough work on this, isn't it time you sorted it out yourselves.

bkrztuk, as you can see from the post below the one you replied to I am using the latest version of K2, if you want me to tell you what the latest version is it's 2.6.1

As I said before we have had almost 2 weeks on a busy news site where people can't register because of a problem with your template bkrztuk. It's not a problem with K2, it's a problem with your template. I told you at the beginning of the week what was wrong and you have simply asked a few stupid qustions that should have been quite obvious - what was the forum post after I sent you a PM (you could have simply searched on my username) and now you're asking what version of K2 I am using (I have already said you can replicate the problem using your quickstart install of TWN11 and an upgrade to the latest K2, I also stated that I was using the latest version of K2).

I am not trying to insult you here bkrztuk but either you're very very very busy or just stupid. can you please sort this issue out and fix your template because if people upgrade to the latest K2, they cannot register new users on their websites.

Please next time check what version is supported by template because our templates support right now K2 v.2.5.7 (https://www.gavick.com/updates/template ... 2,759.html). Update to 2.6.1 version will be release in next week. And please don't blame us for not checking supported tools versions.

Any update on the template update?

We're preparing an update. Please make sure that your reCaptcha in K2 is properly configured because I notice this can also cause problems in user register.
