modue positions not working in template

Hi, i have downloaded the world news template for joomla 2.5 but i am having major problems.

My site is http://www.clairehegarty.com

For some reason i can get top1 position working but if i try and add anything in top2 then it overlaps top1, also if i try and put anything in inset1 or inset2 or in mainboady then nothing shows.

Can you please help me solve this as i want to get my site looking similar to my other site http://www.in2town.co.uk

Could you show me a screenshot with 'Layouts' tab, especially interesting is this percentage width of inset, columns etc.
