Howdy,

I'm moving my site from a Hostgator account to my own server. After getting everything using the quick install zip file setup and installed (no red comments on the Joomla installer) I have the following listed twice just above the MAIN NSP module

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
JFolder::create: Could not create directory

it has a red background regardless of what color theme I use. I've tried some of the other templates that come stock with this quick install package and none have any issues such as this.

I have all of my directories set to chown/chgrp www-data, and I have installed the JCE component successfully, I've changed the tmp and logs directories from /var/www/logs and /var/www/tmp to /tmp, /logs, and tmp and logs and all work fine.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here to figure out why it works fine on a VPS solution from hostgator, but not a relatively stock install from Ubuntu 12.04 ?

Thanks in advance.

First of all please check your file permissions. Secondly please try to disable modules one by one and check when the problem disappear and start from the Weather GK4 module because this extension have own cache system and this message can be visible when backup file can not be saved properly.

I was able to get the message to go away by disabling the weather, which I don't use anyway, but I'm wondering if you know specifically what the permissions should be where that module is? When I installed on Hostgator from the quickinstall, no problems, but a bare lamp server, issue.

Thanks for your reply btw. I was beginning to wonder if lifetime members were to get no love.

First of all please download latest version of module and simply re-install or better delete the old one and install again. The problem can be only with /cache directory which should have 755 permissions.
