can you help with this never come across it before

Hi, i have a serious duplicate page issue and not sure how it happened, it has been done through k2 i think but an other sites that i have used i have never come across this but i have never used k2 before this site.

i am seem to have lots of duplicate pages under author names, example

http://www.in2town.co.uk/blog/diane-walker this page is showing the full articles which is not great for seo and it is also showing that there are hundreds more articles at the bottom

on the tool i am using, it is showing these as duplicates although there are hundreds of them and it is causing google to see lots of duplicate pages.

This pages are pagination. And it's true that sh404 doesn't work well in such cases. Can't You use it to add this canonical tag as we have talked before ? You can also try add this manually with some custom code module (K2 tools has such option):
