How Do I speed up the Images for the Slideshow

Hi I have two questions.

1. How do i speed up the images for the slide show. I have about 8 images in the slideshow and they take a while to load. Is there a way to speed the image loading up.

2. The login form has some css issues. Is there a fix for it. Thanks!

I don't mean speed. I mean loading time. The images take a while to load when you come into the site. I will PM you.

It's not about speeding Photoslide but the whole site. Images are much too heavy. Please take a look at the statistics.

I have not changed anything besides the images from the theme. For example, I use the sample images that were in the themes as templates to replace the current images so if you ran the same test for the demo on Gavick, it would probably be about the same. The only difference is that I have added my own images to the blog of which i plan on keeping because it's a tutorial website.

I've checked the demo site and it's 1/4 Your site.

Please try to replace the images with some lesser quality.

I switched to the Frontpage Slideshow by Joomlaworks and its much faster. I did not have to increase the size of the images.
