Memovie Joomla Template support forum for Joomla 1.5 only.

I don't know if this is just on my website or on the Memovie template in general. I have heavily edited the template, but I don't think I'm the cause of my problem.

I have both K2 items and standard Joomla articles published on my website.

There is a Read More link at the bottom of K2 items but not at the bottom of Joomla articles, despite all settings set to show the Read More link.

After much hunting, I found that if I used the default CSS for JComments (Components > JComments > Settngs, Layout tab, first option in View: Template drop down menu - or /components/com_jcomments/tpl/default/) then the Read More and Comment links reappeared, but as soon as I apply the gk_style CSS file, these links disappear.

I REALLY like the layout of the GK Style for JComments, and I don't want to have to style a brand new CSS file for JComments, or edit the default file.

Is there a quick fix for this?

I just tried replacing the CSS file style.css in /components/com_jcomments/tpl/gk_style/ to see if any of my edits to that file are what have caused the above problem.

No luck.

Hi

I'm not sure if I understood everything. Are You telling that choosing GK Style in module settings hides the "Read more" option. Yes? So it may not be the problem with CSS but with tpl file. It's probably in html/com_content. Please check if it hase the proper code and try to add the missing lines form the standard module look. Sorry I cannot help more without seeing the code. But I think You will find it :)

http://liberal-beta.myelectorate.com.au ... 6&Itemid=9 is just one example. I have used standard Joomla articles and the Read More should be at the bottom of each article.

As you can see the titles are links through to the full article.

Hi

Did you made any changes on files on this directory?

../templates/gk_memovie/html/com_content/

You must have.
There's no other way.

I can't remember off the top of my head. As you can see I've heavily modified the website
So should I try going to the original Memovie template files and replace the com_content file?

I'll give that a go.

I've uploaded the entire templates/gk_memovie/html/com-content folder from the latest Memovie template files, and still no good.

I still enable the gk_style for JComments and the Read More link is missing. As soon as I take it off, Read More appears again. See images below.

Default CSS for JComments...

Read More link and icon is there.

Turn on the gk_style in JComments...

Read More link and icon disappears on all Joomla standard articles.

No luck with this? Anyone?
I've used Firebug to look at the code, and there is definitely missing code.
I've added two different images. One with default JComments CSS activated and one with the gk_style activated in JComments. You can see that I can't expand that DIV tag class="jcomments-links". It's missing.

They're back! They're minus the styled arrow as the bullet, but they're there! Read More and Comment links are tyhere when using the gk_style in Jcomments.

Thanks very much! I'll amend the CSS so they have the little arrow pointing to the Read more link.
