Features will not change in quickstart

I installed the quickstart version of the MeMovie template on my local server using XAMPP

The template installs properly, the style changer works, but if I try to change the template style or any of the features in the template parameters they will not save. They revert back to the default settings (red for the template color, T3 Logo at bottom on, style switcher on, etc.).

If have uninstalled and reinstalled the template and checked to make sure I was running version 1.3

What am I missing?

Please check if permissions on params.ini file are set to 757.

Thanks for helping soleve this, teitbite. In case anyone else has this problem, the fix is to make sure the prams.ini file isn't set to read only.
