Problem with Login-Register pop-up

Hi.

I want to disable tools. I have done so in template configuration.
However, if I disable tools, the popup windows for Login and Register cannot be closed by pressing "X". I have to press on the words Login or Register respectively to close the pop-up.
Is there a fix for that?

P.S. I have installed latest default template (2.04). I have made no changes to the template.
