Help on managing tabs manager, template, image slideshow.

Hi I have some questions would appreciate a lot the help with this.

1)I need help on my template first in the template manager it says its unwritable and I am trying to change the dimensions and they don't take into effect. What do I do?

2) I am trying to implement some tabs with the tab manager just like the demo in party freak where it shows the video/photo/comments, and its giving me an internal error need help with creating that and how to add the videos and photos (with light boxes) to look just like the party freak demo.

3) I am using the module search that is on the top of the website for my log in. but its taking a lot of space when it comes up with my logo there is a lot of separation how can I cut the separation of the logo so its closer to the menu bar because it is to far apart and the reason as I said is the log in module how ca I modify my logo to be sitting on top of the menu bar?

4) My search bar when I am trying to change its width its not working. Help!

5) And when I use image slide show, I'm trying to change some of the thumb nails parameters in the style section and they are not being applied.
