Blog posts appear in latest news and vice versa?

I set up a blog on my site using the joomla article manager set up the links wrote some articles and everything fine till suddenly i tried to upload a photo from my computer to an article and instead of browse files link I get browse files-start upload-clear completed!! Now my blog does not appear anymore but instead i get my latest news articles in their place and my blog articles appear in latest news! I have checked all the settings and they are fine same as before in the article manager it still says my blog articles are in my blog category but they aren't. I am totally confused and it seems like i cannot upload photos to articles anymore.

what can be wrong? How can i rectify this? How do i sleep at night?

This is really strange please start from updating/reinstalling Joomla.
