I'm using Corporate 2, need to customize gk_register (removing some form fields, adding something). As far some other users told me in a sub-section of this forum, there are no tutorials available and customization isn't that easy.

Has anyone replaced gk_register with another module which can be easily customized for this template? I know about joomla extensions, but my search there wasn't successful. Any recommondations???

Thxs.

Hi

Customization is not easy because some changes (additional fields for example) may request changes in database.

Much easier is to use different module. You need to delete the code of used register and replace it with module position. Example of creating a new position is here: 94-sporter/70438-custom-adding-top-extra-banner-modules.html#71226

Hi, what you mean "to use a different module"??

What register module? The standard Joomla? Aren't there no other extensions out there which allow to modify some settings with simple clicks? Can't believe that I'm alone with the problem that the gk_register is not useable for a project.

Hi

GK register module is simple and supporting only fields prepared by joomla, but You can find on joomla extention page a couple of register modules which extends database for joomla allowing to add custom fields.

Hi,

perhaps there is a misunderstanding. I know already about joomla extensions listing. Honestly, I personally think that there are plenty of extensions not worth to look at, poor coded, just crap, unsecure.

My main question was if some other users had already used another well coded, commercial register-extension which they can highly recommend?

How was the register-form made on the gavick site? That's looking like I would like to have.

Hi

I've got an answer for programmer. Unfortunately this is not only own work but it request changes in joomla source files. So there is no option to share it.
