mainmenu question

Hey,

is it correct that I only can have one mega menu displayed (which has to be named mainmenu)?

What I want is the following:

Having a menu structure for the senior department which has about 8 top level entries (on of that 8 is "junior dep." for example). Clicking on that "junior dep." top level menu entry should bring a different menu with about another 7 top level entries for the junior department of our club (a second menu I create in joomla). In that 7 junior top level entries one is again named "senior dep." for example, clicking that brings me the sen. dep. menu back and so on.

Possible? :?:

Hi,

I don't understand much on your idea but it's impossible to have more than one mega menu in a site as it's not a normal module but a block built-in with Gavern Framework's templates.

So it's impossible to hide some menu items from mainmenu, correct?

What I need is something like show menu item 1,3,4,8,xy when on specific itemIDs and show the other menu item 2,5,6,7,xy when a user is on specific itemIDs2.

In short a way to hide some menu items in mainmenu (when a user is on site xy).

I think you can add css suffix class to the menu item which you want to hide some other items when users are in it, I hope you can understand what I mean, or to make it just simple, give me your site and backend access then I will demo it for you as well.
