Please give us your site URL, it will be much easier to check :) are you sure you don't set some option like 'force desktop view' in your smartphone browser settings ?

This have to be something with your configuration because I've check sporter template right now on our demo server and see proper view on mobile device, in fact in your page I've got desktop version. Are you sure that you don't have any external plugins, modules related with mobile version ? Is your template updated ?

I have version 2.6 of the template. There other strange things going on with this template such as:
-random appearance of "switch to mobile version" on some pages
-some module of out of position. for example there are module i have set on the right column that will sometimes displace in the mainbody position.
- if i use the menu type " GK Extra menu" - on my front end it will appear at the back of modules

Generally i like this template but it has some problem that i would really like to get solved. I would appreciate it if you can assist me soonest with these issues.

thanks

You need to update template to latest version, then clear your cookies because probably some old information are stored there. Did you use the cache ? Wrong configuration could also causing this problem - step by step tutorial to configure cache you can find on our wiki (wiki.gavick.com)

Upgrading templates via overriding files don't affect to your configuration but you can always save configuration via configuration manager in template settings.

First of all you need to move all styles that you change to file override.css, then make site backup (via akeeba backup or some other tool) and override all files via ftp connection.

If you modify anything in style files you need to copy changes to file override.css then connect via ftp to your site, download latest template version and overwrite all files by uploading them to proper directory.
