Moving images/articles on the frontpage

Hello,

Currently I'm redesigning my 1.5 joomla website to 1.6 and for this occasion I have bought the Sport template. I now wan't my last 5 articles shown in a slideshow just as the demo website.

Which module is responsible for this section of the website? I have enabled the newsflash module but this only shows a random article and not the last 5 in the slideshow I would like to see.

So which module do I need to download or enable to show my newest 5 articles in a slideshow on the frontpage?

Thanks in advance.

The module that we used in sporter is highlighter, you can find this extension in our download section (it's free).

Sorry for double posting but we have some miscommunication.
With the highlighter module I get the highlights in the top of the screen. But which module do I need to download for the latest features and In a minute sections?

I would like to incorporate a "Latest articles" block on my new template, this should have the same design as the latest features block on your demo page. A large picture, with the titel and text, and under the picture the sections from a few other articles.

I tried to make this with the News Show Pro GK4 module but I can't get the module to behave like you did in your demo. Could you please point out to me what settings I need to use for this?

So I would like to have this "Latest Feature" block on my website that features about five of my last articles created. What options do I need to select for this section?

Looks like we misunderstand, the 'Latest Features' is gk_image_show module, 'Sport Headlines' is Highlighter, and other modules on the frontpage are News Show Pro. I think now everything is clear :) The easiest way to get the same layout like in our demo server is use quickstart package with Joomla and template.

Thank you, with the help of the quickstart I figured out what I did wrong. I did not change the module style

But I see that we have to manually add a new slide to the show, and delete a old one each time we have created a new article. Could you not rewrite this module to add an option like the News Show Pro GK4 that I can select a few categories from which the module takes the last five articles?

Is this update possible within a month maybe?

Ok now I have installed the demo site. The problem is that I cannot get the "in a minute" & "Latest Features" module next to eachother.

I took the settings from the demo site. Latest Features is header 1, In a minute header 2 I believe. But they are shown below eachoter. I made the template width larger but this doesn't help.

How can I show modules next to eachother?

And any information if my request from my previous post could be realized?

Hello Seichinha,

The problem is that I have been working on a testserver (wampserver on my laptop) and this website is not live. I wan't to create the template to me needs before upgrading my live website.

What would you like to see at my website? Maybe I can show you something with screenshots or... ?

I would recommend XAMPP server instead.

As I said it is just for testing the new template ;)

But how can I give you the information you want or how can I try to get the modules next to eachother?

Another problem that I just encountered is that the slideshow is shown on every page when you open an article but I have only selected home as location for the slideshow gallery???!???

If you need to view the webpage for yourself I maybe could create a subdirectory of my website and upload it there??

Hello,

Is it needed for the support to view the website live or have you enough information that you got from me?

Furthermore, what is the sollution about the image gallery shown on every page? This is not happining in the demo. Does this maybe have something to do with my selection of categories & sections from joomla 1.5?
