Register Module and Captcha?

Is there any way to add the Alpha Registration to the module?
I'm getting a ton of spam sign-ups since there is no Captcha.

The pages I found dealt with specific Joomla pages. This is a module in a drop-down 'window'.
How do we go about adding a captcha to a module 'outside' a specific page.
