J1.7, Edit gkFooter

I am trying to add a 25px margin below gkFooter and what I am doing in the /root/templates/gk_black_and_white/css/template.css is not working. I have tried adding additional margin as well as adjusting the padding for it and nothing is changing on the live site. I have been modifying line 106 in this file, but nothing is working and the changes I'm making are not showing in FireBug either. Can someone point me in the right direction?
