Read More does not work

Hi to U, frankly speaking i am no expert in creation of a homepage - so i installed the black & white quickstart template and just going through it step by step. now i want to "change" the articles within the various modules - the only problem is the linkage of the read more button does not work properly - meaning, when i click read more it simply "refreshes" on the main page. what am i doing wrong?
i checked the article functions, the category, the modules - looks all nice to me!!!
Please help

I have the same problem. My news items show up fine in the list. But when clicking the title the article does not show up.

Articles that are connected to menu's DO show up, even in the modules.
