Adding a New Module to Top of Template

I've been making good progress with the PenguinMail 1.6template - site almost done.

When I read this link: https://www.gavick.com/forum/98-joomla-16/76441-changing-logo-place.html I was able to move the logo to the top of the template.

The last step is to create a module to the right of the logo at the top of the screen. I read a post in the 1.5 Forum, but I wanted to see what the steps would be in 1.6 to create the additional module.

Here is the site in my sandbox http://vdining.music4travel.com

I've appreciated all the help with this!

Hi

Unfortunately changes to the template code as creating new position are considered as customization and we do not support that. Anyway, the code for module adding has not changed, so please try with the fix from 1.5

Thank you for the information. We'll take it from here, appreciate your help.

This has been a great upgrade process for us - the tempate has been easy to use - we have only had to do tweaks.

Hi

Did you get this working? I could do with a pointer on this too! Need a module to the right of the logo and was just starting to look at solutions.

Hi

Sorry I cannot help with this as long it's considered as customization. Please take a look at this post 94-sporter/71226-re-adding-top-banner-module.html#71226 . May help You.

Thanks for the post. I did one pass with it - and ran into a few problems, I'm sure the problems we're my skill set!

Have you searched through the 1.5 section - the methods to add a module are documented there.
