K2 blog not showing when set to default home page Please help

Hello! So I want to use the k2 articles/catgory as my home page as I have done in the past. the only thing is, when i set it to "default" in the menu manager then the articles simply dont show as seen here

If I set any other menu item to default it then works fine...

I only have 4 days left in my gavick membership so any help would be great!

Have you set the "Show mainbody on frontpage" to on ? As I can see you are using the quick start which it has it set to off by default.
