Previous and next Buttons removal

Ok so I have this problem with previous and next buttons on some of my pages and I can't find how to turn them off. please view attached and if there is anyone out there that has a suggestion of how to remove these buttons I would really appreciate the help.

It is joomla 1.5 or 1.6 ?

Ah sorry, I thought I went back and added that. It is Joomla 1.6

Hi,

Go to MENU > Menu Item > Article Options > Show Navigation

[Options] Use Global | Use Article Settings | Hide | Show.

If you want the same behaviour applied to all views site wide you could set the global parameter, then override the global at the menu/article level to activate the Navigation buttons.
