Is it possible to have different wallpaper background on individual pages rather than the same one through the whole site. If so how is this achieved?

Thanks in advance

Well depends how many backgrounds you want to change to be honest.

If its few you can create different styles just like style1 style2 etc and assign the menu item to those template styles.
If you mean for every single itemid i havent checked perhaps there is a plugin or component at joomla extensions.

What you've posted is a slideshow for background. Which you have no control when you are viewing certain page to display certain background. What topic owner was asking for i believe is e.g when you are viewing certain menu items you see different backgrounds, like watching xmen 5 trailer with xmen5 background , watching superman 10 trailer with superman 10 background etc.

Norman that is exactly what I mean and really in the day and age of increased advertising online streams should be . For example for the home page we may want the sponser to have their product on the background, but on the different categories and single items other advertisers should have this option, no?

Well there is a page suffix class for menu items which exists in joomla however this is on a content level ( articles ) and what we need is a higher hierarchy on page render. Starting from HTML tag to bottom so we can override or change anything on certain pages from looks to disabling certain class's etc.

You can see this feature when adding or editing menu items for articles, body class overriding is already being used by Gavick for overriding template options so we cant use that, otherwise it would of make this job quite easier. if Gavick can also implement this feature so we can override body class on item ids we can practically change anything , until then i think manual editing is the only way at the moment unless some one has better idea please do share ; )
