just go for the template manager. There you can upload your own logo or have your own text..

Hi i have tried but nothing is working. i am using the quick install template. I am trying to find where to place my logo. I have put my logo in style 1, 2, 3 etc but that does not work. so not sure how to do this correctly.

what i have done is find the file that says logo.ping but when i change it nothing happens

as you can see here after deleting the logo.png in style to it is blank

Dude just follow this step

1) go for extension at the top menu
2) it drop down the list of option go for template manager
3) in template manager click on the template name
4) now you can see the template parameter area
5) In this area go for the 4th tab called "Features"
6) here you have a option to upload your own logo or you can add your own text as a title of the site

Hope this helps

In Joomla Admin > Extensions > Template Manager > gk_twn2 > Features > Logo Type > Logo Image

if that doesnt work edit the logo image depending on which style you are using , if you are using style1 then it is located in
Code: Select all
templatesgk_twn2imagesstyle1logo.png

Seems i took too long to post :D , i ll leave the post as it is incase it helps...

hi i have tried both but it seems that it does not work. I am not sure why. I know if i delete logo.png in style 2 then the worldnews goes away but if i then add a logo in there in the same position then it does not show which is very puzzling.

I am trying to add the following file. i have tried it with .jpg and also png
LOGO.jpg

Try clearing your joomla cache and browser cache as well as try from different brand browser.
Also if you can write your down location and name of your new logo so we can check.

I Have exactly the same problem with the logo not showing on my Pixellove template. It DOES change for the favicon but NOT for the actual logo on the site while it is exactly the same process and in the same location (I even tried the same logo file in the favicon position and that worked). The new logo's size and format are exactly the same as the original Pixellove logo. All caches of browsers, Joomla and server have been cleared but still nothing.

Please let me know when you found a solution for this probably simply solution...

I have tried to check the logo image itself from your website by entering direct url to the logo.png file and it cannot find the logo.png, so if you can confirm the location of your logo.png please.

well, if I may reply for my specific case (which should be the same as for In2Town), the logo is here:
http://houseofjenna.com/images/logo-hou ... 260x56.png

and it should be on top left corner of the page here:
http://houseofjenna.com/

But it's not

Your logo should be at below folder. So copy it there and have a look.
Code: Select all

Nope...unfortunately NOTHING works. I moved the image to the folder like you said (I had tried that before actually). When you click on that "select" button next to "Print Logo" (?) it comes up with that image upload tool straight in the /image folder, but now found you can also actually write the URL there so I did that. But no luck. Only the text logo works but that doesn't look good.

Can someone from Gavick PLEASE give a helping hand or do I need to ditch this temnplate just because of the logo problem?

In2Town how are you getting on?

OK fixed it. That thing in the administrator doesn't work, so you have to upload your logo in the /httpdocs/templates/gk_pixellove/images/dark folder (or the "light" folder if you use that style).

Then rename your file to logo.png (deleting the existing original logo there) and it works. Or you can change the file name to whatever name and file extension you want it in the corresponding style's CSS file (just do a search for "logo.png").
