remove the mainbody content blank area in template

on my site www.bpm.com there is basically a blank white space in the middle of my template that I am assuming is just from having the home page set up as a featured articles page. Is there a way to get rid of that or a better choice for front page. I do not display any articles directly on the front page.

I have the same issue with the Fashion template. In other templates this option can be set in template parameters (no mainbody, mainbody before component, etc.). There seems to be none in the Fashion template and so when I unpublish any featured article, it will give a blank area. I am developing offline and will not have a link to show.

I checked the link you gave but it is not working. Would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
