Can't access file browser when in template

When I am trying to add logos etc in Music template I cannot select files via the file browser and have to edit the path to file manually in the template for example "images/new_header_red.jpg" . This only happens when I am in the music template configuration section and doesn't cause a problem on the rest of the site.

Of course this is a problem I can get around with ftp and manually typing the path but I wondered if there was a solution to this ?

I'm not sure if i understand. Do you mean you cannot enter templates folder from joomla file browser? This part is locked so no users can change template files, but using an FTP access extension will give you full access to any files.

Sorry I didnt make myself clear. What I mean is, lets say I am in the template configuration and I want to choose a logo graphic - I am unable to do so by simply clicking on a graphic and inserting. I have to manually type the name of the graphic into the field with the correct path and then click insert.

I have no such problem in my copy. Please update joomla and template to the latest version. If it will be still the same please send me an access to joomla panel.
