Quicstart is clocking

After I select language the quickstart is just showing the circle animation however, nothing is happening. I've reinstalled the quickstart with the same resule

Please tell me Your server specification. PHP, MySql version and so on. Try also downlaod and upload it again. Maby some data got broken during one of this process.

I've performed a reupload in a root directory instead of a sub with the same results.

PHP 5.2.12
MySql 5.0.83

the hosting is on ipage

I've read on some forums this may be due to an ini.file parameter or something where the path has to be changed. I'm not a programmer so i'm not going to pretend to be cognitive..Thanks for looking into it

I'm not sure if it's connected with the settings from ini file. I would suggest to update Your PHP version first. Joomla recommends 5.3.X and I've seen a lot of issues with lower versions as Yours, so it can be the case here too.

the hosting company didn't update the php to 5.3 however i ran the quickstart for 2.5 and it was able to install accordingly.
