A little tweak for cart,login,register

Hello all
I want the three buttons (cart,login,register) to show a little better in the template. for example a little background to show that there are options there or to slide like gavick frontpage so the user can always press those buttons.
If someone can help me to do this I would appreciate.

so that the cart,register,login text is more clear and easy for the customer to use them.
I tried to do this with position:fixed but it just moves the text to the left of the page.

I'm sorry but it is a complex custom work which is beyond our support. I can only tell you that it needs a totally new script to open the popup at the top of the page and the popup should be placed with position:static and just hidden by scripts and the CSS code.
