Hello,

I'm currently using the League News template and am finding that my load times are 2-3x longer than on the Gavick demo site. At first I thought I had done something with my site modifications that was causing the page to load slowly. I completed a fresh install of the quickstart package to verify but I came up with the same results.

I also have a second web host so tried installing the quickstart package on my second webhost. Once again the load time is 2-3x times longer than the demo site.

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change or adjust to improve the load speed? 5-7 seconds for a load time is not going to work for me.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Sure,

I currently have 3 installs:

Here's a link to modified version of the template (a work in progress): http://www.corvetterevival.com/

Here's a link to a clean install of the quickstart package on the same server as the site above: http://www.corvetterevival.com/Joomla01

Here's a link to a clean install of the quickstart pacakage on my second web host: http://corvette-restoration.com/Joomla03/

I can provide administrator log in credentials by PM if needed.

Thanks for the help.

Please check our template settings:
http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... -settings/
css/js cache and compression is a first thing to start with.

But that might not be enough... I have compared response time for same uncompressed files on our demo server and your's server:
mootools-core.js for example: 0.604s vs 3.66s - it looks like you have quite slow server.
