I've just installed your theme on Wordpress, not sure if there has been a problem but the page I am seeing is very fragmented (see link) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/99149812/Scree ... .02.09.png

Is this how the theme is supposed to look once installed?

I tried installing this theme by uploading the Creative.zip folder into the themes folder of my Wordpress install which is giving the above result.

I appreciate your support

Hi,

The page can look fragmented when you are using the default Wordpress settings - it needs a lot of adjustments in the widgets. That's why I recommend to install the Quickstart package of this theme - it is a Wordpress installation with preconfigured demo content which will be much better start point for you.

Okay thank you, that makes more sense.
There is a part of the quickstart guide that I found very vague and confusing:

"If you had moved the files to the proper place, you would open your browser and navigate to the proper website – in our case, we have moved the directory content to the wp_qi directory on our localhost server: http://127.0.0.1:8080/wp_qi. After opening a website where we have our installation, you should see the following message:"

Could you let me know what 'the proper place' is and how the files should be saved in the server?
A step-by-step guide for how to get to the wp-config.php configure page would be ideal.

Many thanks.

In general you have to upload the files to your server directory which you want to use using the FTP client.

You have to do it as with any other WordPress installation. The rest of the installation proces after moving files is described in the article: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/wo ... tallation/

This assumes you don;t already have WordPress installed on the sever which makes it difficult to move from using a different theme to using this theme.

Is there a way to install this theme and get it working like the demo page without having to do a fresh install?

I have successfully installed the quickstart package but I cannot find where I edit the front page content!

I cant find a page or post relating to the front page - am I blind?

@irishmark - unfortunately currently there is no way, because big part of the demo content is based on the widgets which cannot be exported with the WordPress tools.

Regarding your question about the homepage - please check widgets on the mainbody widget position - these widgets are displayed instead of the latest posts. You can disable this behaviour on the basic theme settings.

Ah - that's a shame - thanks anyway.

I've figured out the front page widgets! - The site is looking sweet!

The code for mobile and tablet devices is located on the css/mobile.css and css/tablet.css files.
