Redshop - failing to render currency symbol

Setting a page up using GK Boutique amd Redshop using Joomla 2.5 I have come across following problem :

When using a currency symbol with more tha one character it only renders the first chracter , the rest is not rendered.
That is either that you place the currency symbol in front or back of the price.

Is there a solution to this ?

That is in the news Pro module only that it appears...
