Translate new words inside child theme

Hi,

we've made some changes in child theme files. Example: we change "Register Now" to "Entry Film". Now, we need use the 2 languages - polish and english. But our new words does not appear inside .pot file. I guess, when we use something like http://www.icanlocalize.com then we got new pot file. But where to put it? Inside new folder "languages" in child fest directory? Or maybe we need update Fest.pot? Any suggestions?

I'm not sure, do you want to translate your website, e.g. into polish? or you want to have multilanguage website? with english/polish switcher?
