"search" position

Was this left out for a reason?

Inside the module position, Search is not within the list of positions, yet, on the template layout (http://www.gavick.com/documentation/wp- ... itions.png) - the "search" is listed as a usable position.

Please advise

The module position shows all build-in and default Joomla! module positions. Search & mainmenu are integrated part of template and you can't use them like every regular module position - usually they are marked with different color.
