I tried to login with my usual username and password, but the admin page says "Error 500 - An Error Has Occured" and then I'm back to the login page... what's wrong? I never had a login problem before...

Hi

It might be problems with permissions on cache.
Please check this threat on joomla! official support forum

Cheers

Hello...

I've already checked that forum you gave me and did every step, like changing the folder permission to 777 and all... and it still like that, worst of all, I just noticed that the frontend is in error 500 state too... I thought it's only my backend problem but now the frontend had one too...

I've set my site a week ago to offline since I got something to do, but today when I supposed to work on it again it's already like this, error 500...

Is there some hack-like way to recover my Super Admin account? Like changing something in the configuration.php or whatever...

Or is it the template? Coz I've been using this new template for 2 weeks and had no problem before...

Or is it my web hosting?

Thank you before...

Hi, I've contact my hosting support and my site is going back to normal...
and in case anyone had the same problem like mine, here's what I did...

1. Get into your site PhpMyAdmin page
2. Klik your database name on the left, and find <prefix>_users
3. Klik 'edit' on your desired username
4. In password section, enter your new password and don't forget to give MD5 function on that password
5. Done, and you can login with your new password

It turns out that I forgot my own password... That's weird, I logged in with this usual ID and password... Damn, maybe I should take that vitamin...

Anyway, thank you before...
