sh404sef doesnt work with this template

Hi There,
We have installed the quickstart package and used the SP upgrade to pull the articles from joomla 1.5. We have contact the sh404sef developers as when its activated the menus only reload the home page.

They said that there may be items that were deleted out of the database of the template that may be causing these issues. We have tried creating new articles and then pasting the html code into the article, linking a menu and the sh404sef still doesnt work. Is there anything missing from the database that could be causing these issues?

I`m afraid the template package provided by template developer may be
incomplete, template developers tend to remove parts of joomla db
tables and files in order to reduce the size of the demo package, also
imported articles from J1.5 may be corrupted somehow, because if
you`ll try create a new article and link it to a menu item you`ll see
that the new menu item works
