Hi,

After upgrading joomla to 3.3.3, K2 module is entirely messed up and not visible. I enquired K2 support team and they mentioned that they are working on the fix and to try out their K2 version 3 (specific for joomla 3.3.x versions) which is still in beta and that too came up with issues. They asked me to continue with their previous version 2.6.8.

Problem Statement:
While re-installing the K2 version 2.6.8 (downloaded from their site) is also not working and all the articles associated with it are showing blank. This has also affected other modules and plugins.

The only solution that I can think is to re-use the quickstart files for creative and rebuild the site. But then there are lot of changes and customization has been made on the site and I will have to rebuild it again. I tried even importing mysql files which is having my content and data but it is not helping me out.

The good part is that the site is not on production environment and I have backup for the development site.

The problem is driving me crazy since 2 days.

Quick response on the solution would be highly appreciated.

PS: This problem is specific to K2 extension.

Thanks,
Munish.

Hmm… my first advise is to create a backup of your current installation. If you modify only template files you can copy whole gk_templatename directory and after installing quickstart just overwrite default files with your modified ones. When it comes to K2 I have no idea how to move between two different versions of K2 but maybe you just need to copy database tables.
