Problem to display custom fields in product details

Hello all,

I have put the Bike Store theme, everything is good, except the custom fields which i've made.
In the product details page, i have this error instead :

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$customfields in C:\wamp\www\templates\gk_bikestore\html\com_virtuemart\productdetails\default.php on line 300

I work on wampserver and I retreaved the online BDD on local.

Can you help me please ?

Undefined propperty warnings are not errors. It's more like PHP is trying to force using old syntax for this script. You do not have to worry about it and simply change error level showing in global settings server in joomla panel to none.

Ok. Than it's more serious problem after all. Please try rename \templates\gk_bikestore\html\com_virtuemart\productdetails\default.php to \templates\gk_bikestore\html\com_virtuemart\productdetails\_default.php and see if it's still happening and let me know. I'm not sure if I'll be able to help while it's on a local server, but lets try.

Ok the fields appears, but another problem, I use Cherry picker to make several custom fields to be a products filters, and the filters doesnt work anymore on the category page.

You have an idea ?

Unfortunately this is not working. Basically right now You are using VM default files and not template one. If style of a product page is ok and it can stay than we can leave it like that. If not please check if template is in the latest version, if not please update it.

I've never used Cherry Picker so I'm not sure if I'll be able to help with that. I think the best help in this case You will get from it's developers. They know it's own code best.

You're right, it's not a problem of the template, I will handle this.
Another question I would like to have the possibility to display the brands of the products listed in the category page, can we do this on this template ?

Hi teitbite, I have the same problem. My costum fields doesn't work, I am pretty sure it's latest version of bikestore.

Costum fields show if I check them for cart, which I don't wanna cause my costum fields are just for simple info.

Are You talking about "Product additional info" ? Because I can see it, so maby it was a cache issue. If not please send me joomla panel access and ftp access.

Hi there, yes I am talking about costum fields, I have 6 of them. But it doesn't show on the page. I will hold the problem for now, since I don't know if my client wanna go with this one. Will keep you noticed. Thanks for answering.

No no, I've asked if fields named "Product additional info" are the one You asking about, because I can see them on product details, so it may be a cache issue and all You need to do is only disable cache for this part or simply clear it.

Well, in terms of what you see, could you please put an ss?
I have created 6 different costum fields through virtuemart. As you can see we are selling vanyl discs, so rather then entering the explantion (year of the album, manufacturer, etc.) I thought costum fields would be perfect. But, simple costum fields doesn't show as I said, I tried it with the show on cart option, that you can select when you are creating the costum field, but that way costum fields appear with a button. Cause it meant to function to add additinal money to the product in terms of need.

Unfortunately I'm not a VM expert, so I cannot tell if it's even possible, but if it's like You've said in the first post that it's simply not showing because of a template than just send me ftp access, I'll check the code and see what may be wrong.

Ok. First please rename /html/com_virtuemart/ to /html/_com_virtuemart this way we will know if issue is in VM or our template.

I still cannot log to ftp, I've tried couple of times already. So I've decided to change the approach. I was thinking to install akeeba backup and install Your site on my computer where I would be able to work, but looks like I cannot access the site at all. I do not know why it's like that, maybe a country IP is blocked or something. All I know is that You need to report this to host provider. Maybe DNS was changed or something.

Ok. I've figured it out. I do not know why it it happening, because code to load it is totally wrong even in default VM files. I believe it must be a bug than or some unsupported plugin. Anyway here is a file You need to switch in template's /html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php
