When reading a full artlice after clicking on it on the home page it is placing it to the left, would anyone be able to help me in placing it in the centre of the page?

It is on a test server, but there would be no need for a link, I can show you with your own fashion template and also the music free template. I am not sure which one would be best for what I have been asked by my partner to do.

I will use the "Fashion Diva Duffle Roller" article. This is the same with the free music one as well, using the "Free Responsive Joomla 2.5 Template" article. When clicking the read more the article is left of centre of screen and as most sites are now centre of screen reading.

Is it possible? So if a person clicks on the "Fashion Diva Duffle Roller" article or the "Free Responsive Joomla 2.5 Template" article in the music template, the article can appear dead centre of the screen?

Hi,

Thanks for clarifying, If you disable the modules in right side, the article should be moved to be centered.

Hi Don,
I have disabled all the modules in the sidebar section and the article is still sitting to the left.
As you can see from the attached images.
This is the main page as you can see the maroon 5 article is to the left, which is where It looks good with the rest of the page design as you folks created it.

Now once a person clicks the Read More as you can see from the next image the article is still placed to the left.

As you now can see with a bit of photoshop That is where i would like to place the article when a user has clicked on the read more. Is this actually possible?

Don. I have done what you ahve suggested but the articles are still position - Left. Would there be something else that I would need to do to correct this?

Hi Darren,

Thank you, please try adding this code to CSS Override:
Code: Select all
#gkContent {
    float: none !important;
    margin: 0 auto;
    position: relative!important;
}

Then let me know if it helps.

Would I need to add override.css to somewhere to get it to recognize it? I did add
Code: Select all
#gkContent {
    float: none !important;
    margin: 0 auto;
    position: relative!important;
}

But nothing seemed to happen.

Hi,

It was because you didn't turn on CSS Override mode in the template setting, I have just done that for you and the code works now, please check and confirm the same.

Thanks,

Duuh, thank you very much Don.

I see it has moved over but now it does create a problem with the front end if sidebars are turned on. I see from what you wrote that it moves all that area over not just the article after clicked.
hmm.

Well appreciate all your help in this area.

Thanks Darren, I have tried another solution but it didn't work so I have just reported this to our developers as a bug to check and fix for next version of the template. I'm really sorry for this inconvenience.

Hi Darren,

I have just spoken with the developer and he said that we couldn't do that because the template was a responsive one so maincontent block should be aligned left always, you can take a look here to understand how responsive templates work http://demo.gavick.com/free/may2012/ind ... uick-guide
