Hello (novice here),

I am sure I am missing something, but my thumbnail images are not in focus, is there a setting that I need to enable or change. These are all via K2 items.

visit site at http://bknteriors.cloudaccess.net/

The images that I have added are in mainmodule and mainmodule(2) on home page, that are of concern.

Thanks !

Hi,

Can you please clarify the problem? I don't understand what you meant by "thumbnail images are not in focus"!

Thanks,

Yes, sorry.. the main images on the home page in mainmodule, and mainmodule(2) are out of focus (as if being squeezed down or stretched).

As compared to the example of the Fashion template on your site, my pictures are not representative of the quality they should be, once you click on the K2 item, is shows the actual size of the picture and quality is good.

make sense ?

I'm running into the same issue. I've already disabled the picture "zoom" so i know that is not the culprit.

If I'm not wrong, you guys want to disable the effect when you hover on images, so just open file /templates/gk_fashion/css/gk.stuff.css

and remove this code:
Code: Select all

.nspArt .nspImageWrapper:hover img {
   -webkit-transform: scale(1.2) rotate(-7deg);
   -moz-transform: scale(1.2) rotate(-7deg);
   -o-transform: scale(1.2) rotate(-7deg);
   -ms-transform: scale(1.2) rotate(-7deg);
   transform: scale(1.2) rotate(-7deg);
}

Or change the value in that code to get lighter effect as well.

Cheers,

No Sir.

If you look at your FASHION template example on your website, the pictures on the home page are crisp and clear.

If you look at the pictures on my site in modulemain and modulemain(2), of the images that were uploaded and used, the original quality of the images that were uploaded are high quality but when view on my home page, they appear fuzzy. Once you click on the image and you go to the k2 item, the picture quality is ok.

Please look at http://bknteriors.cloudaccess.net

The images should be crisp and clear on the home page..

Thanks for getting back to me.

It looks like that may have been the issue, but I really had to get my picture dimensions WAY up there, to 5000 x 3000 px, and the file size was around 5MB, but the quality looks much better on the NSP module now.

I will try a few more pictures to make sure but we could be good.

Thanks !

Hi Don,

I am having exact same problem with the Fashion template. I do not think it is the thumbnail size setting though. The quality difference appears to be with how images are loaded and stored into the K2 item. Compare the quality between the same image loaded into K2 and standard Joomla media:
