I am having trouble with several components that make use of jquery and boostrap. I'm not showing any errors in the debugger. Have there been similar reports?

Something is really broken with this template or the default modules. I couldnt get several modules/plugins working, with an obvious problem with either java or mootools, and not being able to identify where the problem was originating, I did a fresh install on my demo server. Without anything else installed, I am still getting the same problem. All the GK modules seem to be testest and working, but when I try simple third-party modules, they are often broken. Originally I had trouble with Hikashop and the menu, but this is more significant. Something as simple as NoNumber's Tabber doesn't even work. Nonumber is well known for making very clean extensions. If you look on the frontpage, you will see the broken tabber module:

demo.retreatwell.com

Peter over at nonumber has already looked at it and has no reports of this problem elsewhere.

Please help asap. Thanks,
G

UPDATE: When I switch to default "protostar" template, all broken modules work again. And to reiterate, that demo installation has ONLY the quickstart you have provided installed, other than the few extensions that were broken on my main build, for testing purposes.

Thanks,
G

Link was provided above: http://demo.retreatwell.com/

"Tabber Test" module in the sidebar. It "should" be a nice tabbed section, similar to your gk tabs. But as I said, I have tried 10+ J3 components that require jquery and bootrap, and all have similar problems. Switching back to joomla built-in templates makes all of them work again. I have had lengthy discussions with the developer of Tabber, and he was quite helpful, but at the end of the day, it was obviously the template that was causing the issues.

I've checked your site and see that jQuery and bootstrap is loaded, please check >> http://d.pr/i/JJHp but in fact I don't see any script from this tab's extension in script list.

Yes, I know jquery and bootstrap are loading correctly. That clearly isnt the problem. Something in the template is conflicting with J3 extensions that also use jquery and bootstrap. To reiterate: When I switch back to joomla's template, all the problems are instantly fixed. Why dont you do a fresh install of your template, and install a bunch of j3 extensions, such as the links I provided you, and see what they are supposed to look like on joomla's template. Then switch to fashion, and you will see it breaks them all. I have put a lot of work on my end and have ruled out everything but something specific to your template. I'm running out of time on my project. I don't know what to do at this point.

Could you send me access to your site via PM ? I want to make some tests and it will be easier on your site when you've already installed this plugins.

Ok I'll let you know in following week about my test result - maybe this is a conflict with moo masonry script - did you try to use any other template like creative or bikestore ?

Awesome, thank you. I have no tried any of the other moomasonry templates, only the ones that come with joomla and one other third-party (all of which had no conflicts). I would be glad to install creative and bikestore for testing if that will speed up the process of getting this resolved. Just let me know.

I've send you a PM about possibility to install/recover default J!3.0 template in your environment because I want to compare whether scripts form this extensions are loaded then. I've checked all Joomla! jimport rules and there are the same in our and default template.

Sure thing. I have no problem doing a fresh install for you. Have you tried installing something like "Tabber" on your installation to see if you have the same conflict?

I've installed mentioned extension on publisher template for Joomla! 3.0 and it is working without any problem, please look http://d.pr/i/9BNh this is also designed for Bootstrap and J!3.0. I don't test the tabs because this is commercial extension but you should ask provider what libraries are required to work (maybe jQuery in particular version) because without this informations it is hard to detect the problem. All default Joomla javascript libraries are loaded in our template.

What extension is that that you have installed? I'll give it a try on my server. The image that you are showing me, if it is one of the tab extensions, doesn't seem right.

As you requested, I have done a fresh install on the main server (retreatwell.com). I have only used the quickstart, nothing else has been changed or modified. The account information remains the same.

NOTE: I installed the 2.5 version of this template on at demo.retreatwell.com. The problems do not exist on the 2.5 version. Unfortunately, I need the 3.0 version to be functioning to attain my goals.

That is a joomla 2.5 extension. It doesn't use boostrap and is not responsive. That doesn't address the problem. Need a 3.0 extension that is using bootstrap. I have tried many, none work. :(

Ok I know what is causing problems and I've found out this based on first tab extension. First of all there is no conflict between scritps. I've enabled this module on startup and see that it is not working, then switch to 'prostar' when it was working great but after that I've switched also to 'beez' which is also default template and the effect is the same like on our template - in short words it is not working.

The problem is with bootstrap styles, all this extensions use bootstrap default styles but in fact the don't include this CSS but use this one from prostar which means that this will be working only with templates which include bootstrap.css. We don't have this file beacause we simply don't need this and this a lot of useless code. If you want to make it working, please open file template.css from 'prostar' template and copy it at the end of our template.css you will see that this makes that this module will be working.

Ok hope this is end of your problems. Our templates for J!3.0 don't use bootstrap styling and this is the problems but the authors of extensions predict that this CSS file will be included.
