Several Issues with this template

This is the first time I used a Gavick template. I have been working a lot of the Rockettheme ones, but I really liked some of your offerings. However, I had nothing but issues with the templates as they seem to be real sensitive in terms of any changes. I had to restore my site on several occasions to get it back working

1. I was trying to run mysql query to change the "created_by" user from one to another, after I ran the query I was stuck with an error 1064. Not sure why and I couldn't get much insight. Didn't know if there were some type of dependencies to the recently changed user but I wasn't able to figure it out

2. I saw that the news_pro module supplied with the template was a 3.3.2, so I figured I needed to upgrade to the latest 3.3.7 after doing so I was presented with another 3.3.7 error.

Trouble shooting I know it is linked to the modules as after disabling them all the site begins to show and it was narrowed down to 2 instances, however I was not able to figure out why these two module would cause the error as they were working fine before and there was nothing done different as with the other modules.

So I am curious to know how the dependencies run between K2, articles and the module. Are articles married to a user or something to that sort?

1. If You have articles created by user and than You change it's id or remove it, than joomla throws this error. Please simply place the user back or delete/attach to different user all articles written by Him.

2. What error exactly is shown ?

Please check if You have installed module to correct joomla version. We have separated module versions for each one.
