For the LIFE of me I can't figure out why it's overlapping the date and other article information.

Hi,

Please redownload the package and replace file layouts/blocks/head.php - some parts of the CSS code was unavailable when K2 component is disabled - the head.php file was fixed and the problem should dissapear.
