In order to publish a custom login-module at this position, I want to remove the Login-Link from gavick.

1. is it possible to remove the Login-Link at the top right corner?

Hi,
You can remove this link by disabling the module on the login module position. Additionaly you can specify the Login URL in the template options. But unfortunately you cannot remove the link and left the login popup without deeper changes, because it is strictly connected.
