Just noticed that I'm getting the following error in my template:

Code: Select all
Notice: Undefined variable: current_url in D:\HostingSpaces\theorcha\theorchardchurch.org\wwwroot\New_2013\templates\gk_startup\html\com_content\article\default.php on line 26

Seen here: http://theorchardchurch.org/New_2013/in ... row-groups

thanks!

Is your template up to date ? I'm asking because we've fixed this problem in latest update.

Thank you - out of curiosity, how do I do that? I went into the template manager, clicked on the download button on the updates area, and that took me here: https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... artup.html.

I assume I download the "gk_startup_J!30.zip" file, and unzip it, but what do I do from there? Do I just copy the contents of that zipped file into the startup template folder on my site? If I do that, won't that overwrite any CSS customization that I've done?

Thanks again,

Nevermind - I uploaded the contents of the updated template into my new template, and all I lost were all my CSS changes.

Question - instead of editing the template files CSS, is there a different way I should be changing CSS values so I don't lose them whenever there's a template change?

Thanks,

Joe

You should use override.css file for all your customizations and then just exclude this file during template update via FTP.

I've been using the "Custom CSS Code" in the advanced settings part of the template GUI for this... Is that ok? It seems to work on the front end. Thanks again for your reply.

Yes if you add custom code there and you will overwrite files via FTP connection you will not loose this settings.
