How is the image put above the article title and how can I adjust the L.H. sidebar in this page?

For future reference easiest way is to install a quickstart package in a subdomain or in localserver and then edit the article or other options.

In edit article or when adding new article on right side > Images and links

Thanks for the help, I understand how to turn on the Date Created, and Author, Voting, etc. But what I want to do is use that left hand position for custom html content...

That is not a position for modules I am afraid.
