Hello everyone

Maybe it's the stupidest question, but I am unable to get the info of an article in the same way that appears in the demo.

I've tried to copy all the settings from the quickstart package but still it looks like the picture I attatched.

Can you help me?

Thank your

Please revert your changes, create some article page and provide me URL to this page, then I can check the CSS.

But, this happens with an out of the box installation of a Joomla 3.0 and the startup template (I don't know if it helps)

Are you sure you are using "Featured articles" view ?

Good morning,

I have the same problem, sorry. It works fine within tablet and mobile layout, but not on a usual screen. I was playing around with the layout width in pixels - no alteration. See here: septima.biz

Can you help me?

Thanks a lot and
regards!

Just detected: There is an impact on tablet view as well. But increasing the tablet width in pixels, lets say from 980 px to 1024 px, helps. Negative affected is only the landscape view (I use an older IPad 2 and a newer IPad mini). As menitoned before, mobile view is ok (tested on IOS and a couple of android-devices) an vertical tablet view is ok.

I believe it is good probably, to give you more information:

Joomla-Version: 3.1.1
PHP-Version: 5.4.16
Template-Version: the latest for J3.+

mobile width: 580px, both landscape and vertical display fine
tablet width: 1024px, landscape view is fine, as long as you keep the width broader as 1023px, vertical view is always ok
deskop view: article info displays wrong, no matter 1000px width or 2000

Thank you for your efforts!

Please add this code to override.css file in root/templates/gk_template_name/css directory :
Code: Select all
aside + .k2box {margin-left: 150px !important}

and then just remember to enable "Use override CSS" option in template advanced settings tab.

Sorry, the praise was to fast. It works on the desktop now, but not in mobile view (580px). May be, we must restrict the css override to to the template views at desktops, but not to tablet and mobile? I am bpothering you again, I know. But can you provide me your help once more?

I was just checking the tablet view. I was surprised, it is still fine even with the override 1024 px, both vertical and landscape view! Great. I may recap: With the override as proposed above desktob view is ok, tablet view in both dimensions (vertical and horizontal) is fine. Only mobile view, both vertical and landscape is wrong now. But not overlapping as before, but (additional) 150 override-px to far away from the left.

Thank you for your attention, the great service and your patience with a stupid no-coder.

Please try to add to mobile.css file this code :

Code: Select all
aside + .k2box {margin-left: 0px !important}
aside {width: 100%; clear: both}

Finally, you are the man. All is fine now, thanks a lot for the support! I have within the template two smaller issues, typography is not usable and displaying articels in a tags view list gives a strange title. But I think, its better to oben two new threads. Then I can leave you in peace. Once more, thanks and regards.
