How to make a module/text + buttons overlay the header?

Hi, i'm trying to get a module to overlay the header image on my site similar to how it is done on the demo site "Lacking concept" then the take a tour/join buttons. I would need to say text and then 2 links to take the user to 2 different areas of the site. How do I do this? I'm using Startup, and FlexHeader at the moment to display the image as my header, not sure if I should be using something else?

Do you mean that you wants to put text over the header? I'll help you with this but you need to explain me exactly what you want. Shown me an example if possible.
