Hi,

I get this error every time I try to send a message using the contact form.
The mail() function has been disabled and the mail cannot be sent.

I've entered the correct email id's in the contact form as well as in the Global Configuration. I'm using PHPMAIL as the mail sending (in Global Configuration) option & my hosting provider does support PHP mail().

Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks and regards!

You need to setup smtp mail sending feature in Joomla general configuration.

Hi Cyberek,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you please tell me the issue with PHP mail()? This is the first Gavick template that's giving me this error.

I'll setup SMTP and update here with the results.

Thanks!

Its not Gavick template issue but Joomla / hosting issue. Joomla uses php mail() function to send mail by default but if hosting company doesn't support this php function Joomla need to be configured to send mail via smtp.
